MTNL & BSNL Offer Free Roaming to Prepaid & Postpaid Customers in Mumbai Maharashtra & Goa
Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd. and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. have announced free roaming for its customers in Mumbai, Maharashtra & Goa circles. These free roaming call rates will be applicable for all prepaid and postpaid GSM users in the circles.
MTNL Mumbai offers roam free Maharashtra with reduced outgoing call rates for Trump and Dolphin users while calling to networks in Maharashtra. All calls to Maharashtra and Goa will be charged as per basic tariff rates even while in roaming.
All BSNL and MTNL users can get the benefits of free roaming offer of BSNL and MTNL. All users can enjoy outgoing calls, SMSes and GPRS service while in roaming as per local home tariff.

I want to know that pay per second plan will charge 1 paise while roaming in maharashtra. some days before i spoke to customer care but they said that mtnl will charged Rs.1 for 1 minute even in pay per second plan.
let me know, otherwise i will use other company sim card.
MTNL IS LOOTNG ITS CUSTOMERS as it is charging my MTNL prepaid number Rs 1 for all calls to other networks from BSNL Mah & Goa network; as per my pay per seccond plan, I should be charged as per seconds to all networks across in India as per the MTNL Mumbai tariff. I also should get free 500 local & national smses as per my sms 31 plan of MTNL, which too I am not getting in BSNL Mah & Goa network. EVEN THE HIGH LEVEL OFFICERS CONFIRM THAT I WILL BE CHAGED @ RS 1 PER MINUTE... ITS RIDICULOUS. I even can give anyone their mobile numbers. I even doubt that MTNL will give free GPRS service in BSNL network. A BULLSHIT SERVICE FROM MTNL MUMBAI.
But hats off to BSNL customers... they are charging pay per second according to their home plan even in MTNL Mumbai network... BSNL is doing a great job.
